How it works
Three gentle steps to relief
From first use to thoughtful care — keep your packs fresh, hygienic and ready throughout the fourth trimester.
Chill or warm
Pop your pack in the freezer for cooling relief, or warm gently in warm water for soothing comfort. Always check the temperature against your wrist before use.
Use with the soft cover
Slip on the included soft cover — or use a clean cloth or maternity pad as a barrier — and rest the pack against the area for gentle, targeted relief.
Wipe, wash & reuse
Wipe the pack with a damp cloth and air dry fully before returning to the freezer. The soft cover is removable and machine washable on a gentle, cool cycle.
Postpartum recovery guide
When to use cold, when to use warmth
Simple, gentle guidance for using your perineal and breast packs through the early weeks of recovery.
Cold therapy
Soothe swelling in the early days
Perineal pack
Reach for cold in the first 24–72 hours after birth to ease swelling, bruising and discomfort along the perineum.
Breast pack
Apply chilled between feeds to calm engorgement, blocked ducts or tenderness — never directly before a feed.
Warm therapy
Encourage flow and release tension
Perineal pack
From day three onward, gentle warmth supports circulation and helps tender tissue feel softer and more at ease.
Breast pack
Warm for a few minutes before nursing or pumping to encourage let-down and ease milk flow through the ducts.
Timing & comfort
Small rituals, gentle relief
How long
Use for 10–15 minutes at a time, with a soft barrier between the pack and skin. Rest between applications.
How often
Repeat every 2–3 hours as needed. Listen to your body — comfort, not endurance, is the goal.
Always wrap the pack in a soft cloth and check temperature on your wrist first. If anything feels uncomfortable, pause and check in with your midwife or care provider.
Real Stories, Real Relief
“This pack was exactly what I needed after giving birth. The cold therapy helped so much with swelling and discomfort.”
“I bought this before my due date and I'm so glad I did. It's reusable, easy to use, and provides such soothing relief.”
“Really well made and stays cold for a long time. The shape is perfect for the perineal area. Highly recommend!”
Yes — both packs are designed for hot and cold use, so you only need the one product. A helpful way to think about it: cold calms, warmth opens.
For the perineal pack, cold is best in the first 48–72 hours after birth to reduce swelling and ease soreness. Gentle warmth can be comforting once the initial swelling has settled. For the breast pack, use warmth before or during a feed to encourage milk flow, and cold after a feed to relieve engorgement or inflammation.
If you're unsure which therapy is right for your recovery, your midwife or healthcare provider is the best person to guide you.
10–15 minutes at a time is the general guide. Allow your skin to return to its natural temperature before reapplying, and avoid using the packs while sleeping. Little and often tends to work better than one long session.
If you experience any increased pain, numbness, or skin changes during use, remove the pack and consult your midwife or GP.
To cool: Place in the freezer for at least 1–2 hours. We recommend getting a couple in the freezer from around 36 weeks so they're ready when you need them.
To warm: Heat one gel pad only in the microwave. After heating, test the temperature with your hands before use. Apply to the desired area for up to 15 minutes. 700W: 15 seconds. 1000W: 13 seconds. 1250W: 10 seconds.
Always test the temperature on your inner wrist first — it should feel comfortably warm, never hot. Never apply a pack straight from the freezer or microwave directly to your skin. Always use a cloth barrier or the cover provided.
